Courtney L. Knippen is an attorney who represents clients in state and federal courts. She is a former law clerk with Bedi & Singer, LLP.
After graduating from law school she was selected to be a Law Clerk for the Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland’s highest state court, where she researched and analyzed criminal cases and drafted and edited opinions before publication.
Courtney graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Northern University and summa cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a Public Interest/Public Service Scholar. During law school, in addition to working as a law clerk for Bedi & Singer, LLP, she was a law clerk at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and the Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC. Through the Homeless Persons Representation Project, Courtney helped individuals expunge their criminal records and was awarded Outstanding Student Volunteer from the organization. Courtney is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and the Northern District of Illinois.
